We have provided a wide variety of temporary works design, estimating and management services, coupled with providing design services on site for major projects. The objective has been to achieve suitable technical and economic methods of construction for implementation.

Land Reclamation Scheme, Dover
250,000m³ of sea-dredged ballast and 500m of two-walled cofferdam retaining structures. Constructed using overhand working techniques with attendant pontoons and tugs, with 130,000m³ of fill placed into the cofferdams. Temporary works designs and Deputy Project Manager services.
Dover Harbour – New Ro-Ro Deep-Water Berths 5 & 6
Reclamation fill of approximately 800,000 tonnes, 400m of retaining two-walled sheet-piled cofferdams, five berthing dolphin cells, each containing 2,500m³ of pumped concrete, concrete approach ramps and coastal protection reinforced-concrete units. The majority of the works were constructed using overhand techniques with attendant pontoons, tugs and barges. We acted as a resident consultant on site for design and checking duties, together with providing advice on contractual matters.
New Humber International Tanker Terminal

Isle of Wight wave wall and groynes
Project Manager for a reinforced-concrete wave wall with apron and 16 groynes on the Isle of Wight. The toe of the wave-wall apron was redesigned by us using sheet piles, saving operational cost and time.
Devonport Jetty
Full temporary works design to work off permanent piles using overhand construction techniques, with a 45-tonne crawler crane and 5-tonne piling hammer. Cast-in-situ jetty deck using jacked rolling soffit formwork.
Jack-up platforms and pontoon design
Stability checks.
Widening of Kingston Bridge
Extension of both abutments and all intermediate piers over the River Thames at Kingston; Category 3 checks on cofferdams.

Survey for demolition and method provided for the contractor.

Designed arrangement for static load tests of 5,000 kN on 1-in-3 raking piles, 900mm diameter, some in tension.
